The short answer
Eligible TikTok LIVE creators may earn through features such as LIVE Gifts and Diamonds, subscriptions or Fan Club features, campaigns, LIVE Shopping where available, and opportunities built around a broader creator brand. Eligibility, availability and reward calculations depend on TikTok’s current terms, account and region.
Gifts and Diamonds are not the same thing
Viewers can use Coins to activate virtual Gifts where available. TikTok may award Diamonds to eligible creators based on popularity and contribution under its rules. Do not publish a fixed Gift-to-cash conversion as if it were universal; review the balance and applicable terms inside your account.
Build value before asking for support
Design a show viewers would choose to watch without gifting: conversation, performance, education, competition, gaming or community ritual. Recognize support warmly, but avoid guilt, pressure or manipulative promises.
Diversify creator income
Depending on eligibility and market, revenue may also come from subscriptions, commerce, campaigns, sponsorships, affiliate relationships or content outside LIVE. Keep advertising disclosures clear and follow local tax and consumer rules.
Track business inputs as well as rewards
Record stream hours, preparation time, format, returning audience, clips produced and direct costs. Compare trends over several weeks. Revenue without time and cost context can give a misleading picture of progress.
