OBS Studio can produce sophisticated scenes, audio mixes and vertical canvases, but sending that output directly to TikTok depends on broadcasting options available to your account. Check TikTok’s official tools first. Never purchase a stream key, share a key publicly or give someone your password to configure access.
Confirm the available path first
Look at the LIVE tools offered inside your account and TikTok’s current LIVE Studio resources. Direct encoder or RTMP access is not identical for every creator, market or program. A guide cannot guarantee that a particular button or key will appear.
Build a vertical OBS collection
Create a dedicated TikTok scene collection instead of squeezing a horizontal stream into portrait. Place the essential action in the center, crop intentionally, and use larger text than you would for desktop video. Create main, break and technical-fallback scenes.

Treat any server address and stream key like a password. Do not show it on screen, paste it into chat, store it in screenshots or send it to unverified people. Rotate it through the official platform when exposure is suspected.
Tune from a stable baseline
Use OBS’s auto-configuration as a starting point, then test. Watch dropped frames, rendering lag, encoding lag and audio sync. Hardware encoders can reduce CPU pressure when supported. Record locally during a test so you can separate production problems from network problems.

Creators often add animated overlays, alerts and multiple capture methods before proving the basic pipeline. Start with one camera or capture source and one microphone. Add one component at a time and repeat the stress test.
