You can stream on TikTok from the mobile app or, when your account has access, from a desktop workflow such as TikTok LIVE Studio. Start on mobile for conversation, performance and simple formats. Use the stability-first checklist

  • Use a supported, updated app from an official source.
  • Test upload stability, not only headline internet speed.

Make the stream readable on a phone

Preview at a small size. Use a close enough camera crop, large labels, strong contrast and a clear focal point. Avoid placing key information at the edges where interface controls may cover it. A clean vertical layout normally beats a miniature desktop layout.

Balance video, audio and interaction

Prioritize intelligible speech, stable motion and a responsive host. Expensive equipment cannot rescue silence or an unclear premise. Set a specific LIVE title, explain the format early and create recurring moments that allow a new viewer to participate without prior context.

Turn one LIVE into several discoverable pieces

TikTok’s own guidance recommends recording and highlighting strong moments. Mark reactions, explanations, wins and audience exchanges while they happen. Edit the best moments into short posts that lead naturally to the next scheduled LIVE.
